It's a nice useful applet of KDE, what can I say more? ;) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 71798 [details] kde-misc/kcpufreq-0.3.ebuild put this in kde-misc
I compiled this gem manually, taking out the icon so it fit in my panel better.. would be nice to have it in portage though
Created attachment 76439 [details] ebuild with "noicon" use flag for those who want a thin line of text only, "noicon" use flag added uses noicon.patch
Created attachment 76440 [details, diff] noicon patch noicon patch
Created attachment 76441 [details, diff] noicon patch with a smaller, monospace font diff against other patch and you should see how to edit it to use your own font/size
When is this going to be in portage?
Yes I would recommend adding it to portage. Works like a charm here.
Any reason why this ebuild is sitting here for about a year? It would be nice to have it in portage, really.
Friendly ping.
Created attachment 108821 [details] kcpufreq-0.3-r2.ebuild download location and homepage have moved. updated as per suggestions from #gentoo-sunrise: quoted ${A}, ${S} and ${FILESDIR} removed arches I haven't personally tested
It is important to mention what overlay the ebuild is in, once it goes somewhere. This makes tracking easier. http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/browser/sunrise/kde-misc/kcpufreq
source tarball has disappeared from author's site (along with any mention of kcpufreq), so I've temporarily placed a copy at http://triffid.funkmunch.net/kcpufreq-0.3.tar.gz My poor li'l server simply isn't set up for any appreciable load, so please mirror elsewhere for me if possible :)
Not fetchable anywhere.
