Description Michael Tharp 2005-10-21 21:51:24 UTC
sys-fs/udev-70 (udevstart) causes a segfault on boot in udevstart on a VIA
Samuel 2(CentaurHauls) processor.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build sys-fs/udev-70 ~x86 on a VIA EPIA-M system.
2. Boot.

Actual Results:
Boot halts after udev failure when root fs remount fails due to missing /dev node.

Expected Results:
udev starts, root fs remounts read-write, boot continues.

Built with -mtune=i686, although -march/-mtune does not affect this
outcome(tried with -march=i386 among others). CHOST remained i686-pc-linux-gnu.

Portage 2.0.53_rc5 (default-linux/x86/2005.1, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r2,
2.6.13-gentoo-r4 i686)
