Description wbaudler 2005-10-20 20:18:01 UTC
The ebuild for tmake contains a cp command with options that do not work on Mac
OS X. As a result the line

 cp -af ${S}/lib/* ${D}/usr/lib/tmake

is not executed during the build process and the installation is incomplete.
There appear no build erros which confuses the matter.

The last line

echo "TMAKEPATH=/usr/lib/tmake/linux-g++" > ${D}/etc/env.d/51tmake

needs also fixing to point to /usr/lib/tmake/macx-g++

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge tmake
2. try to use tmake
3. fails with "tmake error: Template file tmake.conf not found"

Expected Results:

!!! Relying on the shell to locate gcc, this may break
!!! DISTCC, installing gcc-config and setting your current gcc
!!! profile will fix this

Comment 2 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2005-10-29 10:35:22 UTC
is there a reason to use version 1.8 instead of 2.12? The latter one installs
and works fine.
Comment 3 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2005-10-29 10:36:51 UTC
I keyworded tmake-2.12 ~ppc-macos
