After having updated my system, udevd now crashes during boot and the computer
is unable to continue. The following error messages are printed during boot:

udevd[477]: segfault at 0000000000000000 00002aaaaac30753 rsp 00007fffffffea28
error 6

and later:

udevstart[611]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip 000000000040763c rsp
00007fffffffe198 error 6
/sbin/rc: line 93: 611 Segmentation fault /sbin/udevstart

According to "emerge --search" I have udev 0.70 installed. By performing an "ls
-l" in the /sbin directory I can see that the udev* files were created on Wed
Oct 19 at 12:26.
