I think ng-spice-rework can have some USE flags, like X or something, for
compiling with --enable-xspice or something for enabling graphical output, and
not only terminal.

While this is a great idea, we are currently spending most of our time fixing  
bugs or updating popular packages. If you could provide an ebuild yourself, it  
would certainly speed things up...

I believe ngspice autodetects X. Plus xspice in ngspice is a quite unstable and
not really tested yet feature. If you really want to activate xspice you can
always do so using EXTRA_ECONF, but you're on your own.

Actually I have submitted an ebuild for ng-spice-rework-17 that makes use of the
readline and debug USE flags. See bug #106496.
