Description Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-16 12:56:06 UTC
betelgeuse@pena /mnt/checkouts/gentoo-x86/dev-java/japitools $ emerge --help |
grep config
   emerge --help [ system | config | sync ]
betelgeuse@pena /mnt/checkouts/gentoo-x86/dev-java/japitools $ emerge --config
emerge: root access required.
betelgeuse@pena /mnt/checkouts/gentoo-x86/dev-java/japitools $

I also did not find anything in the manual pages but the feature seems to be
there. Great feature if I may add.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-12 16:03:26 UTC
Okay. Copied ebuild.1's config documentation to emerge.1's man page.
Comment 2 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-24 15:17:22 UTC
Isn't --config important enough to add it to emerge --help too?
Comment 3 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-24 15:43:40 UTC
Yeah, I'd copied it there before you mentioned it. I just didn't mention it.
Btw, nothing is important enough to go into emerge --help as all those long
descriptions will be dropped at some stage.
Comment 4 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-02 07:22:12 UTC
Fixed in 2.0.53.
