The xine-lib-1.1.0-r5 build fails, due to an aclocal problem. The configure script does not even get to run before this error occurs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge xine-lib Actual Results: The xine-lib build errors out with a "* Failed Running aclocal !" message. Expected Results: The build should run the configure script, build the binaries, and install. tacolinux ~ # emerge --nocolor -Dv xine-lib Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.0-r5 to / >>> md5 files ;-) xine-lib-1.0.1-r4.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) xine-lib-1.1.0-r5.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) xine-lib-1.1.0-r6.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) xine-lib-1.1.0.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) xine-lib-1_rc8-r2.ebuild >>> md5 files ;-) files/xine-lib-formatstring.patch >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-xine-lib-1.1.0 >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-xine-lib-1.0.1-r4 >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-xine-lib-1.1.0-r5 >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-xine-lib-1.1.0-r6 >>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-xine-lib-1_rc8-r2 >>> md5 src_uri ;-) xine-lib-1.1.0.tar.gz >>> md5 src_uri ;-) xine-lib-patches-15.tar.bz2 >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking xine-lib-1.1.0.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/xine-lib-1.1.0-r5/work >>> Unpacking xine-lib-patches-15.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/xine-lib-1.1.0-r5/work * Applying various patches (bugfixes/updates) ... * 010_all_configure.patch ... I just noticed that the ebuild references aclocal-12347.out, and I catted aclocal-11514.out. Don't worry, the content is the same... I think the aclocal-{somenumber}.txt file name changes every time.
Gentoo Linux is for problems with ebuilds, Bugzilla is *not*.

(In reply to comment #2) > Gentoo Linux is for problems with ebuilds, Bugzilla is *not*. Ack. Didn't intend to file this under a "Bugzilla" bug. I did do a thorough search for xine-lib bugs. I see now that this is not limited to that ebuild. Sorry for wasting your time.
