Description Ákos Maróy 2005-09-29 10:58:26 UTC
when trying to emerge dialog, I get the following error:

checking for initscr... no
checking for initscr in -lncursesw... no
checking for -lncursesw in /usr/local/lib... no
checking for -lncursesw in /usr/lib... no

!!! ERROR: dev-util/dialog-1.0.20050206 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to emerge dialog
2. see the error report
3.

Actual Results:
emerge failed with above error

Expected Results:
should have emerged fine

removing the USE flag "unicode" will emerge the dialog package fine.

see my emerge info below:
