doing an "emerge search libstdc++" results in an error message like this:

Searching...  \!!! Regular expression error in "libstdc++": multiple repeat

please fix it

`emerge search libstdc\+\+` 
 
nick: maybe add support that if the expression is invalid regex to not use it 
as a regex ?
