Had the same issue, then I found out my /var partition was out of free space. Hope this helps.
Have the exact same problem on both my systems. I had 2 - 3gigs available after the error. (AFAIR it doesn't 'clean' the build dir so I have 2-3 gigs free during the build) I'll clean some 4 gigs more and try again, but I doubt if that's it...
@node: please post the last snip of your build output, just to make sure this is the same problem. Also the output of your "emerge info" would be helpful @all: I assume you are building with -java, right?
>I assume you are building with -java, right? Yes. I have >10G free on /, so lack of space is definitely not the cause.
@Patrick: OK, I can reproduce that bug, it only happens without java, that's why I didn't catch it in initial testing. Very unfortunate. Am now going to test if one of our patches is the culprit, if not we should report that upstream.
Oh my, openoffice-ximian-1.3.16 has the same problem, both don't work with -java, also our java-patches are NOT the culprit, so this seems to be an upstream problem.

As a workaround, and just for the record: downgrade to libxslt-1.1.14, WFM
Ok, it seems that a parameter locale is needed, but not defined on the command line. On my system it does work manually with the latest libxslt-1.1.15. What does manual execution do on your system? - Go to "OOo_1.1.5/officecfg/registry/schema" - Execute "xsltproc --noout --stringparam locale en-US ../../util/resource.xsl org/openoffice/Inet.xcs" You might want to replace en-US with de, but there are no german localisations for this resource.
I've now added a new patch which fixes this problem for me to both openoffice and openoffice-ximian. Closing
(In reply to comment #10) > I've now added a new patch which fixes this problem for me to both openoffice > and openoffice-ximian. Closing how can i have the parch?
@tiziano: just emerge sync and try again
This isn't fixed for me with current build (this is a new install and sync'd today just in case). Did the fix get removed somehow?
@Joe: No it wasn't. But which version are you trying to build? Also could you still post your output where the build breaks?

Ok, I see now, this only happens on stable, this is an unfortunate side affect of libxslt-1.1.15 going stable, and OOo 1.1.4-r1 does not have that fix, crap.
I've now added the fix also to openoffice-1.1.4-r1 and openoffice-ximian-1.3.9-r1, so this should be fixed, again. Closing.
