Hi,
Firefox should use gtk-filechooser to open dialogs when in gnome (gnome USE
flag), I have see firefox using gtk-filechooser in ubuntu, so maybe that
patches are public ? maybe ask for them to ubuntu people ?. The current firefox
dialog in GNOME is very bad/ugly compare to filechooser.

Reproducible: Always

The ubuntu patches for firefox are publicly available, but to my experience,
they introduce some strange bugs into firefox, and I guess that's why nobody has
implemented them on gentoo :)

I can't find this patch for firefox.
Mikkel: Do you know where to find them? You sounded that way.

FF 1.5 (unfortunately) now uses GTK fileselector by default, enjoy and don't file bugs about it's "usability" (like Bug 115250 or Bug 115823) here, but rather upstream (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/)

Closing.
