This is a follow-up to http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99446 where brix refused to include any scripts supporting either standard or non-standard ACPI events in sys-power/acpi. The acpid ebuild does not install any event handlers except one for the power button, which leaves the user on their own for configuring responses to acpi events. Ubuntu Hoary includes the following package: http://packages.ubuntu.com/hoary/admin/acpi-support Either this package should be ported directly to Gentoo, or its functionality should be rolled into a new set of scripts and put into a new ebuild, e.g. acpi-scripts.
