Description Alex Valentine 2005-09-08 12:39:20 UTC
When attempting to build gmime-2.1.16, I get the following error message:

checking for mcs... /usr/bin/mcs
checking whether /usr/bin/mcs is GNU Mono... ./configure: line 26220: 5252
Aborted $CSC --version >/dev/null 2>&1
no
configure: error: Could not find mcs

!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/gmime-2.1.16/work/gmime-2.1.16/config.log

!!! ERROR: dev-libs/gmime-2.1.16 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed

My mono installation appears to be functioning correctly. I've also tried
different builds of mono.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Build gmime-2.1.16

Did you miss to add:

"open_wr: /root/.wapi/shared_data-zero-6-0" ?

It seems to me that "configure" is geting the "access violation" error code just
after the "true" one from "$CSC --version > /dev/null 2>&1" (configure.in #271,
#272)

Yup! It seemed right ;)
changing
-inherit gnome2 eutils mono
+inherit gnome2 eutils
in the ebuild does it...

This is not the right thread to post sandbox violation issues! the title of this
thread is "gmime-2.1.16 Could not find mcs"!!!

Comment 8 David Raison 2005-09-15 07:43:03 UTC
this is the right place to file bugs concerning the sandbox violation:
