Comment 1 Juan J. García de Soria 2005-08-30 02:32:26 UTC
I found the file /usr/share/aclocal/path_dps.m4 to be installed by this package
app-text/dgs-0.5.10-r1, that seems to no longer be present in portage.

I unmerged the installed version of that package, and then the emerge got past
that point, although with a lot of underquoted definition warnings.

The emerge process seemed to finish successfully.

Mr. de Soria is right. dgs was present in my system and unmerging it allowed me
to complete the merge of gnome-spell. TWIMC, here are the "underquoted

Just wanted to comment that I had a similar problem today, removing app-text/dgs
allows compile of the gnome-spell ebuild with the same warnings Ani posted.

here is my emerge --info

Comment 4 Evert 2005-08-30 14:59:47 UTC
same here and unmerging app-text/dgs-0.5.10-r1 helped indeed, thanx!
Comment 5 Joe Kappus 2005-08-31 20:16:24 UTC
dammit all, fixed it here too. I had like 7 other packages failing because of
it. Fun stuff.
Comment 6 Heinz Sporn 2005-09-01 10:46:28 UTC
Same problem here. Funny thing though is that app-text/dgs is no longer in my
portage tree. Last emerge --sync: today, September, 1st 2005.

So I just renamed /usr/share/aclocale/path_dgs.m4 and bingo - gnome-spell compiled.
Comment 7 Vasilis Lourdas 2005-09-01 13:09:10 UTC
Same here too. Unmerging dgs did the trick and gnome-spell 1.0.6 emerged fine,
although I got some "underquoted definition" warnings.
Comment 8 Jeffrey Forman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-04 06:05:34 UTC
what is this dgs ebuild you keep talking about? i dont see it in my portage tree
Comment 9 Vasilis Lourdas 2005-09-04 09:07:53 UTC
(In reply to comment #8)
> what is this dgs ebuild you keep talking about? i dont see it in my portage tree

I don't really know. Have you tried 'equery l dgs'? http://packages.gentoo.org
also does not appear to include dgs in the portage tree. I had it installed in
my system and after I unemerged it, gnome-spell emerged with a few warnings.
Comment 10 Tim Burrell 2005-09-06 08:21:19 UTC
Same thing here... unmerged dgs, compiles fine.

What a weird error!
