This is a plugin for xmms that uses libopenspc to play spc files the internal music format in the snes). See bug 103137 for the library. This hasn't been developed since 2003, and version 0.0.3 is on xmms.org, but I found a cvs with version 0.0.4 of this that uses the external library instead of including it in the source of the plugin, which is good if someone else makes something that uses libopenspc some day. I've been using this plugin (version 0.0.4) for about a year and never had any problems with it, so the cvs snapshot isn't unstable in any way. There is already a spc plugin in portage called xmms-spc, but it plays some files incorrectly and has various other small bugs (search bugzilla for both open and closed bugs about this package if you want to know what). The ebuild works for me, but I might have solved the problem with the missing files incorrectly, so some feedback would be appreciated. I'll leave the snapshot up on my webserver for a few weeks, hopefully that should be long enough for this to make it into portage and onto the gentoo mirrors.
