Description Peter Hyman 2005-08-13 06:32:37 UTC
ROX-Menu provides a Start type menu for the Rox Panel and provides menuing in
the user desktop too. This version requires ROX-CLib >= 2.1.3 WHICH IS CURRENTLY
NOT IN THE PORTAGE TREE (however a simple renaming of the ebuild file to 2.1.5
which is the latest, will allow this module to compile) See bug #78309. This
version requires ROX-Filer >= 2.0.0 also.

Using this module with ROX-Filer 2.3 will need to watch the ~/Choices directory,
The new ROX-Filer no longer uses Choices, but rather
~/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ for its configuration. ROX-Menu still hard codes
the CHOICESPATH so the user will need to keep Choices for the time being. FWIW I
did the following to be consistent:

1) mv ~/Choices/ROX-Menu ~/.config/
2) ln -s ~/config/ROX-Menu ~/Choices/ROX-Menu

Not all ROX apps work the same and all will need to be checked.

this project seems to be unmaintained. besides we do already have xdg-menu,
which is more powerfull. so, I don't see the reason for this to be in portage.
