Description Philipp Weber 2005-08-09 02:59:15 UTC
First I tried:
  emerge --update --deep world
Which worked until (getting the errors mentioned below):
  [ebuild U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.4.2 [3.4.1-r2]
(When I used to run it manually:
  ebuild kdelibs-3.4.2.ebuild merge
I got the same errors; I also tried "compile" only, getting the same...)

There were the following errors (and the ebuild got stuck in an infinite loop):
  ACCESS DENIED open_wr: /usr/lib/graphviz/config
Error: failed to open /usr/lib/graphviz/config for write.
The log file:
  /var/log/sandbox/sandbox-kde-base_-_kdelibs-3.4.2-9701.log
contained nothing but:
  open_wr: /usr/lib/graphviz/config
But if I enter the working directory
  /var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.4.2/work/kdelibs-3.4.2
and type "make" it compiles.
Any Ideas?

BTW:
I also got a minor error during compile (but make did not abort, so I don't no
wether or not this actually is of any importance):
  make[2]: Entering directory
  `/var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.4.2/work/kdelibs-3.4.2/kdecore'
Fatal error at line 26560 column 32: unexpected end of file

  make[2]: Leaving directory
  `/var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.4.2/work/kdelibs-3.4.2/kdecore'

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge "=kde-base/kdelibs-3.4.2"
2. (or) ebuild kdelibs-3.4.2.ebuild merge
3. (or) ebuild kdelibs-3.4.2.ebuild compile

Actual Results:
Infinitive loop, getting:
  ACCESS DENIED open_wr: /usr/lib/graphviz/config
Error: failed to open /usr/lib/graphviz/config for write.
The log file /var/log/sandbox/sandbox-kde-base_-_kdelibs-3.4.2-9701.log
contained "open_wr: /usr/lib/graphviz/config" (several times...)

Expected Results:
Installation complete

I'm running my system on ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" (unstable),
my system still works with kde-3.4.1-r2 (also unstable ;-), so no hurry...
(This is the first time I ever reported a bug, hopefully not to messy!)
