Hi! I attach an ebuild for gkfreq. gkfreq is a gkrellm plugin that displays your cpu frequence (using sysfs). I also attach a patch that makes it compiling clean (without warnings) and enchances a few things. (I've submitted it to the author too) I think it should go in x11-plugins. I've seen that all gkrellm plugins tent to have a gkrellm-* name, do you think it's better to change the name in something like gkrellm-gkfreq or gkrellm-freq? Pietro
Created attachment 65226 [details] gkfreq-0.1.1 ebuild.
Created attachment 65227 [details, diff] Patch against gkfreq-0.1.1. This is needed at least to compile without warnings.
Created attachment 65639 [details] New ebuild x11-plugins/gkrellm-gkfreq Version bumb. The name as changed in gkrellm-gkfreq and I'm in touch with the author, so I've removed the patch from the ebuild, that now it's very minimal and, IMHO, clean. Tested on x86, but should work for any other architectures gkrellm2 runs on.
Created attachment 68467 [details] Test Install I tested the ebuild. Works for me! Gkrellm2 is now showing my laptop cpu frequency.
Works for me here, too...
is this going into portage anytime soon?
Looks good. I have added this to the tree as x11-plugins/gkrellm-gkfreq-1.0 Thanks!
