Description justin moser 2005-07-30 23:51:49 UTC
i just tried to do an emerge -uDN world job, and it got through the first
package (app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.2.2) fine. but then an update
for Gaim was next, and it died in the test faze area with this error:

checking for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler
cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report:
!!! /portage/portage/gaim-1.4.0-r2/work/gaim-1.4.0/config.log

!!! ERROR: net-im/gaim-1.4.0-r2 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

below, i'll post my emerge info. i don't know how to make attachments, so what
i'll do is, if the system will let me, post the config.log file mentioned in a
second post to this report.

Reproducible: Always
