Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2017-07-28 09:42:16 UTC
Current stable requires an old mediastreamer version that doesn't build on stable. Hence, we need a newer linphone to allow people to use a newer and fixed mediastreamer version

Thanks
Comment 1 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2018-02-09 22:55:09 UTC
Should we just drop stable?
Comment 2 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2018-02-21 13:51:14 UTC
(to drop old libXosip)
Comment 3 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2018-02-21 13:54:04 UTC
Also for libosip and for bug 616490 as old versions required by current stable are security vulnerable
Comment 4 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2018-02-21 13:55:26 UTC
We will probably need to wait for the bump of bug 504114 as current testing is also problematic, and either fast stabilize that one or drop to testing and remove old versions of linphone and related libs

too bad, that was my voip desktop client. I might look into writing ebuilds for more recent versions, but the whole git submodule mess does not look too good. Any suggestions for a replacement that is maintaned in portage (sip client with gui)
