Description Peter Volkov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-09-25 10:26:28 UTC
base-system: >=gettext-0.18 is necessary for dev-util/crow-designer stabilization (bug 338344). Is it Ok to stabilize gettext? What version?

There's several packages still failing with gettext >= 0.18, bug 321913

once the blockers are done, i see no reason to hold up stabilization

I'm getting failing tests when building with nocxx USE flag on x86. Posted as Bug 339419.
Comment 7 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2010-10-07 06:21:14 UTC
i dont think USE=nocxx is something to block stabilization over

Based on what exactly? To me it seems that gettext builds this file and it's tests cause to fail on it. Isn't the point of tests to detect these kind of things and prevent bad things from happening?

x86 stable, thanks Myckel (also for detecting the test failure with nocxx)

I think the nocxx issue shouldn't block this stabilization, but is worth fixing.
