Excuse me, I forgot to add what I suggest to do: 1. Modify the ebuild for app-pda/libopensync-plugin-synce-0.22-r1 to strictly depend on <app-pda/synce-librra-0.14, to avoid a compilation failure. 2. Make a new ebuild app-pda/libopensync-plugin-synce-0.22.1 where SRC_URI points to the SynCE source package, to support synce-0.14 packages. Created attachment 216536 [details]

The current warning patch does not work with the new source from the synce team. This is a fixed version.
I wrote an ebuild as per point 2. of comment #1; I tested it on my system (x86, mostly stable except for synce and opensync, as expected) and it compiles fine. msynctool recognizes the plugin and adds it to a group w/ success. (actual sync-ing still doesn't work, but it may be a misconfiguration on my part). It may require some QA check, I'm not your local ebuild expert. Removed from tree (bug 340007 for future restoration). |
