The iRATE ebuild files
I tried using this ebuild. Everything seems to have installed fine, but when I run the client it can download files but does not play them. It hangs when I double-click on a song title. I'm not sure if this is an ebuild problem or an irate problem. Emerge info: Portage 2.0.49-r3 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1,2.2.5-r4, 2.6.0-test4-mm6-rf17) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.0-test4-mm6-rf17 i686 Pentium III (Coppermine) ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/kde/2/share/config /opt/zetagrid /var/freenet /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/afs/C /etc/afs/afsws /etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="sandbox ccache autoaddcvs userpriv usersandbox gpg severe" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.noved.org/ http://csociety-ftp.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/gentoo/ ftp://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/pub/linux/gentoo ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo ftp://csociety-ftp.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/gentoo/" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 oss apm avi crypt cups encode foomaticdb gif jpeg libg++ libwww mad mikmod mmx mpeg ncurses nls pdflib png quicktime spell truetype xml2 xmms xv zlib gtkhtml gdbm berkdb slang readline arts bonobo svga ggi tcltk java guile X sdl gpm tcpd pam ssl perl python esd imlib oggvorbis gtk qt kde motif opengl mozilla cdr scanner gnome -3dnow alsa samba" I think it uses an internal player by default; can you try changing it to use madplay or mpg123 (in the menus) and see if that helps? Yeah, playing music does not work for me either. Please don't upload tar.gz's. A plain .ebuild is sufficient. Closing, the source is no longer available upstream. That said, if you're after getting this puppy in, reopen the bug and use the src files, preferably for v0.3 Seriously, if you want it in and are willing to do a bit of testing of it reopen this bug, and I'll give a hand. Meanwhile, setting it to CANTFIX due to src not existing upstream. Reopen to dupe. |
