OpenOffice doesn't start with new icu 4.0.1 and says:

/usr/lib64/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libicuuc.so.38: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I downgraded to icu-3.8.1 and it starts again.

That's a job for revdep-rebuild from app-portage/gentoolkit package.
