Fprint-demo ebuild does not exist and it would be great if it could be created.

Reproducible: Always

Better still -- they're already in a testing overlay. See http://www.reactivated.net/fprint/wiki/Download#Gentoo.

That overlay is apparently gone.

Is any fingerprint reader tool supported in portage?
Comment 4 Travis Hansen 2009-12-05 08:40:34 UTC
I'd also be interested in knowing what fingerprint options are available. Thanks!

ebuild for fprint_demo

since the wschlich-testing is down, the ebuild should be saved here.

ebuild for pam_fprint

"pam_fprint is a simple PAM module which uses libfprint's fingerprint processing and verification functionality for authentication."

But I think the winner is fingerprint-gui, see my bug #341105
Comment 7 Jan Buecken 2010-10-17 21:10:13 UTC
Since #341107 is fixed, but the package makes it in sys-auth/libfprint you have to replace media-libs/libfprint in the DEPEND section with the new path.
