unac is a library and command line tool for converting accented chars to their equivalent unaccented chars.

improved unac-1.8.0.ebuild

Improved ebuild. Now it actually compiles (the old one failed in automake on my machine). Plus, corrected dependencies, uses autotools eclass, and a few stylistic improvements.

And by the way, unac is an optional dependency for the upcoming app-misc/tracker-0.6 release.

Emerged and tested unaccent successfully on AMD64.
Clean ebuild ;-)

Unac is now in the Sunrise overlay:
http://overlays.gentoo.org/svn/proj/sunrise/reviewed/app-text/unac/
You can use layman to get updates (layman -a sunrise).
