i didn't get the commit message completely, so please either cc arches or close it as invalid. thanks :-) commit 094fdcf4149ba78197dad438b7545ff4a145cf90 Author: Ionen Wolkens <ionen@gentoo.org> Date: Tue Mar 11 20:42:09 2025 -0400 media-libs/aubio: use ffmpeg-compat Seems already fixed upstream, but not planning to handle a potential snapshot or backports + testing myself. Given no code changes, plans are to sync keywords back with stable when ready. Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/942964 Signed-off-by: Ionen Wolkens <ionen@gentoo.org>
(In reply to Miroslav Šulc from comment #0) > i didn't get the commit message completely, so please either cc arches or > close it as invalid. thanks :-) It's ok to stabilize these if want to, but it's a bit wasteful given ffmpeg-7 isn't about to be stable yet and stable users will likely end up installing same-version ffmpeg-6 and ffmpeg-compat-6 at same time for nothing while -r4 can use stable ffmpeg-6 normally. The idea been to sync keywords back to stable (without stablereqs) whenever we we're ready to stable ffmpeg-7, in other words nothing that maintiners need to act on. For maintainers, the ideal would be to instead fix it properly to build with ffmpeg-7 rather than the temporary -compat hack and then stabilize that and drop -r5 entirely.
