I get it ~3/4 on ppc but sometimes the test also passes. Does not seem to make a difference whether tests are run with -j1 or more threads. As it's the same with latest upstream 3.14.0 I'll report it upstream too.

Looks like TestSynchCritical is generally flaky, not only on ppc.
