Is any upstream there to merge it though?
Turns out it was merged 3 weeks ago.
PyMuPDF appears to be the replacement for python-poppler-qt5 for that port.
This package is somewhat of a pain (compared to the benefits it gives), and I'm reluctant to add more python revdeps for it. Inkscape can crop pdf by now well enough... Let's keep it as long as possible and in case of doubt lastrite it.
There's also app-text/pdfarranger which does that quite well. If there is no path forward, maybe mask it right away and point at alternatives?
