here is a workaround for an arch package to get an idea what is going on: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/gajim/-/blob/main/PKGBUILD However the best solution for long term maintenance would be if upstream upgrades to a "real" build system. https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/issues/12150
