Running instances of thunderbird-bin use a different application name than what is defined in thunderbirds desktop file (/usr/share/applications/thunderbird-bin.desktop). Some time ago, a StartupWMClass entry was added to the desktop file, so that the window manager can match running instances of thunderbird to their desktop file. This broke again, because in recent versions of thunderbird-bin, the runtime process is now called "thunderbird-esr" instead of "thunderbird". Please update the StartupWMClass entry in thunderbird-bin's desktop file accordingly. Reproducible: Always
