Sorry, this was going to be a stablereq but I found a new release instead. The zstd thing sounds like a potential security issue. 24.07 2024-06-19 ------------------------- - Changes in files: Asm/x86/Sha256Opt.asm Asm/x86/Sha1Opt.asm Now it uses "READONLY" flag for constant array segment. It fixes an issue where ".rodata" section in 7-Zip for x86/x64 Linux had a "WRITE" attribute. - The bug was fixed: 7-Zip could crash for some incorrect ZSTD archives.
The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=939dceaa741a1e8ef1d699b0eca904d49e374513 commit 939dceaa741a1e8ef1d699b0eca904d49e374513 Author: Arthur Zamarin <arthurzam@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2024-07-03 19:06:33 +0000 Commit: Arthur Zamarin <arthurzam@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2024-07-03 19:09:12 +0000 app-arch/7zip: add 24.07 Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/935412 Signed-off-by: Arthur Zamarin <arthurzam@gentoo.org> app-arch/7zip/7zip-24.07.ebuild | 110 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ app-arch/7zip/Manifest | 2 + 2 files changed, 112 insertions(+)
