When compiling dev-qt/qtbase:6 without X11 (the "X" useflag), x11-themes/kvantum fails to be compiled. See this issue on github: https://github.com/tsujan/Kvantum/issues/947 A temporary solution would be to add the "X" useflag as dependency when compiling without X11, until you are able to compile it without it.
Please always add full build.log. Quoting upstream: "Why should someone build qt6base without X11 support?!"
