Description Jason Cavett 2005-05-19 16:56:21 UTC
If I start to stream a movie via mplayerplug-in-2.66 under Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4
and then stop it any time before the stream is finished, Firefox locks up
completely and the process must be killed.

Here are other various software versions I'm using:
mozilla-firefox-1.0.4
mplayerplug-in-2.66
mplayer-1.0_pre6-r4

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Firefox
2. Go to website with a streaming movie.
3. Stop movie before it is finished.
4. Firefox freezes

Actual Results:
Firefox locks up.

Expected Results:
Played the movie, stopped the movie, continued playing the movie.

I have tested and tested and have not been able to replicate this in any way
please include link that is causing your problems and I will test it there.
Comment 2 Jason Cavett 2005-05-19 17:21:24 UTC
Well, anything on ebaumsworld.com does it. But, I forgot some things -

If I stop the movie, I *can* start it again. However, if I do anything after
the movie starts playing (click another link, go back a page, etc), everything
freezes. And, I also forgot to mention that the area of the screen where the
movie is playing turns blue in color (BSOD?).

Hope that helps.
Comment 3 Jory A. Pratt 2005-05-19 18:45:21 UTC
I have tested until I am blue in the face still unable to replicate it in any way.
have you re-emerged mplayplug-in since updating firefox or readjusted symlink?
Comment 4 Jory A. Pratt 2005-05-19 18:55:25 UTC
forgot to mention if you feel up to it feel free to try 2.80 if it works out I
will get it marked stable for x86 ... that is up to you otherwise you will have
to wait till I can get some time to dig deeper.
Comment 5 Jason Cavett 2005-05-19 22:54:15 UTC
I upgraded to 2.80. Everything works great.

Thanks for your help.
