Description Bartłomiej Konecki 2024-05-15 13:41:36 UTC
stage3-amd64-hardened-nomultilib-openrc is not updated since March
PGP sign appears to be fresh from 15th May but stage file is not
Is there are any issue in stage file builder or is support for this stage dropped?

Example can be seen here:
https distfiles[dot]gentoo[dot]org/releases/amd64/autobuilds/current-stage3-amd64-hardened-nomultilib-openrc
or here

I encountered this problem as well.

Commit: https://github.com/gentoo/releng/commit/3b62d92a9e034ec3cb8a750a8313474f19700e41

dropped hardened_nomultilib_openrc and it's no longer being built:

https://github.com/gentoo/releng/blob/master/tools/catalyst-auto-amd64.conf#L12

The workaround that I saw suggested is to install hardened and then switch the profile to no-multilib and rebuild @world.

It's dropped (and now the old remainders have been deleted).

That is indeed the recommended way to go.

(Switching TO no-multilib is trivial. The other way around, very much not.)
