I was able to reproduce the problem using stage3. The rough steps are as follows: emerge fcitx emerge fcitx-rime flaggie app-i18n/fcitx +~amd64 flaggie x11-libs/xcb-imdkit +~amd64 flaggie app-i18n/fcitx-rime +~amd64 emerge fcitx-rime I'm on the road for the next two days and will try to fix it as much as I can this week.
