This and #916785 originate from the same problem. I suspect that app-text/pandoc<3 is being detected, rather than the new dev-haskell/pandoc. I worked around this bug by doing; emerge --unmerge app-text/pandoc emerge -1v app-text/pandoc
I have this error when trying to emerge app-text/pandoc, but in my case it is not installed so I cannot unmerge it. I tried also 'emerge --unmerge dev-haskell/pandoc' but the error still persists.
