Created attachment 864598 [details, diff] Changing default verbosity level and adding --debug option to rtkit-daemon Hello, my /var/log/messages are full of rtkit-daemon's messages, like Jun 25 17:32:56 dualxeon rtkit-daemon[5761]: Supervising 8 threads of 8 processes of 1 users. Jun 25 17:32:56 dualxeon rtkit-daemon[5761]: Supervising 8 threads of 8 processes of 1 users. Jun 25 17:33:49 dualxeon rtkit-daemon[5761]: Supervising 8 threads of 8 processes of 1 users. Jun 25 17:33:49 dualxeon rtkit-daemon[5761]: Supervising 8 threads of 8 processes of 1 users. As I read in https://github.com/heftig/rtkit/pull/33 it's known problem. By default rtkit has "debug" message level and no verbosity control at all. Systemd users can using systemd methods for controlling its verbosity, but OpenRC users can't. So there is a patch from https://github.com/heftig/rtkit/pull/33/commits/ad649ee491ed1a41537774ad11564a208e598a09 , it's change rtkit-daemon default verbosity level and add --debug option for anybody who need debug messages. I tested this by putting patch to /etc/portage/patches/sys-auth/rtkit-0.13-r1/ , working fine, no spamming.
