version bump Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. depends on dbus-0.32, which is not yet in portage. I managed to install that however needed to manually softlink /usr/lib/libdbus-1.so.1.0.0 to /usr/lib/libdbus-1.so.0 for skype to start up.

Created attachment 57050 [details] skype-1.1.0.3.ebuild Ok i added the x86 dbus dep.
can someone from the amd64 team please confirm that this will not work with dbus version in portage (even ~amd64)
silly me. I actually use x86 - didn't notice I added it to amd64. Thanks, Gustavo.
well i'll comit this to cvs now with the dbus dep the same to both arches.
are you aware that dbus-0.32 is not in portage yet?
under amd64 it depends on dbus but when I emerge dbus I'm getting only the 64bit version while skype itself is 32bit so it won't load libdbus and won't work so we need 32bit version of dbus
I've added 32bit libdbus to emul-linux-x86-baselibs-2.1.1 and adjusted the skype amd64 DEPEND accordingly. This bug can now be closed?
Created attachment 57222 [details] Skype/DBus config As this version of Skype supports the API, you could also install the dbus config for skype as /etc/dbus-1/system.d/skype.conf This way people who would like to run API clients don't have to manually install it. Content of the file comes from Skype homepage: http://www.skype.com/community/devzone/SkypeAPIforLinux.html
Version bump 1.1.0.13
Uppps i forgot to close this one. All this is in portage (actually 1.1.0.20) dbus support will be working soon (depends on fix on dbus if you are interested see bug #96451 ) Thanks to all those that helped.
