You can drop the cap now. In future, I'd suggest pinging first if you need something done from somebody else.
The cap has been put in place precisely so that I WOULDN'T need anything from someone else at the moment. And as you can see from when I made this ticket depend on #895982, I only found out about this being an x11-libs/wxGTK problem today.

You can just ping someone as well first.
