For the sake of reflecting the full context both here and on GitHub: Updated ebuilds for app-admin/rex-1.14.0 and -9999 has been available in my overlay and also as a GitHub pull request since 2023-02-07 (in https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/29467, including all new dependencies, and also assorted minor changes, like fixing HOMEPAGE redirect, and bumping EAPI to 8). I'm happy Patrick is getting active around rex ebuilds again, and we discussed how we could apply the other improvements from the PR (updated now), and how we could better collaborate on future changes. (It's also nice that Agostino's tinderbox confirmed the version in my overlay was fine, and caught this issue so quickly in the main tree.) Thanks for everyone's continued support to bring the latest rex versions to Gentoo users!
