After updating signal-desktop-bin from 6.2.0 to 6.3.0 no tray icon shows up, regardless of the command line options --start-in-tray or --use-tray-icon. The bug is already reported upstream: https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Desktop/issues/6259 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. run "signal-desktop-bin --start-in-tray --use-tray-icon" Actual Results: neither Signal window nor Signal tray icon appears (when starting "signal-desktop-bin --use-tray-icon" the window appears, but no tray icon) Expected Results: Signal tray icon should show up downgrading to net-im/signal-desktop-bin-6.2.0 fixes the problem
It seems that only version 6.5.0 fixes the bug, according to the upstream bug report it's still present in 6.4.0.
