When installing gentoolkit, one gets the post emerge message that recommends additional tools. One of the tools recommended is app-portage/flaggie which is currently masked and intended for removal. I think that recommendation should be dropped off.
I think it's kind of in a state of flux right now as mgorny is considering a rewrite of flaggie.
