this ebuild provides the GEM library for pure data in the recent version of 0.90.0. although pure data is located in media-sound, i'd suggest to put it into media-gfx/pd-gem. since GEM is an addon for pd, i prepended pd- to the package name (debian e.g. only calls it gem) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

I previously did an ebuild for Gem. I just merged the changes (new version has more USE flags). Personal note: I don't like having to name all ebuild pd-* (there is really the need of doing an eclass for PureData externals?) I've used to put this in media-video. However media-plugins is fine.

Santiago suggested to me that any further work is coordinated with Federico. However, I am still going to put "sunrise-suggested" in the whiteboard (so it is out of my search). If this stuff ever gets in an overlay, just put InOverlay in the Keywords field and that will be sufficient as well.
