The ebuild ignores the fblog patchsets in the archive. These patchsets should be provided in some directory, perhaps in "/usr/share/...".

The fblog is a replacement for the framebuffer console so that the kernel is able to output kernel messages at boot time even without CONFIG_FB and CONFIG_VT.
