Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2022-05-20 18:03:47 UTC
It is one of the few packages still needing old tracker-2 slot. Most distributions disabled it and upstream doesn't consider it like a priority:
https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/issues/2834

Thanks

Do we want to go through the normal stabilization and clean-up process? Or should I update the PR to immediately stabilize the new revision and remove the old?
Comment 2 Joonas Niilola gentoo-dev 2022-05-21 05:30:36 UTC
I think we should wait the normal 30 days. This change has potential to affect many users, and we may want to hear that feedback.

IF something breaks, it's going to be really annoying to revert the stable keywords. And we aren't in such hurry to remove tracker:0, first steps have already been taken (and thanks for the swift response!)

Yeah, this sounds good to me. I have no reason to remove tracker:0 quickly, so waiting the normal 30 days for stabilization is fine with me.

(Thanks Matthew for the very quick response time!)
