Description Luka Mrovlje 2005-03-05 06:23:45 UTC
Everytime a new ebuild of kdelibs is released I have to edit kdelibs ebuild and set:
--enable-libfam to --disable-libfam
--enable-dnotify to --disable-dnotify
to ensure that kde doesn't lock my cd/dvd tray. With those options enabled users with submount (and probabbly other automounting deamons) cannot eject cd tray - as it is marked that it is in use.

With those flags disabled I've experienced no problems. But there are probabbly people out there that requier this so use flags libfam and dnotify would be nice and no more editing would be required.

Compiling kdelibs takes time so I haven't tested any of the recent versions of kdelibs with libfam and dnotify flags enabled (I always disable them). If the situation has changed please let me know and ignore this request.

I think this was fixed in kde-3.4...

Closing, the eject problem should be fixed in newer versions.
