Version 1.10.9 of Element has been released 2 days ago. To make the ebuild work, it was sufficient to rename the ebuild and regenerate the package manifest. Changelog can be found here: https://github.com/vector-im/element-desktop/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.md
Could you make a Github PR updating this package? Copy the old ebuild into a new one, run ebuild new.ebuild manifest (or pkgdev manifest, or repoman manifest) and push Manifest file along with the new ebuild?
