CHANGELOG.md says that bat-0.18.2 added bash completion support, but the ebuild doesn't install them like it does the previously existing fish completion support. Please consider installing them to work with bash as well. Additionally you may want to review the DOCS variable, as some useful things are not installed right now - CHANGELOG.md in particular; otoh unsure about the usefulness of alternatives.md
