A few of us are running prism2-based cards. The support for these from the default pcmcia-cs package is minimal at best. If at all possible, including the drivers from the linux-wlan-ng driver package would be a big boon. Otherwise in my case I can't install Gentoo on the one system I have that desparately needs it (a laptop) because my broadband comes in via an 802.11b card in this laptop (which I want to make into a Gentoo-based router/firewall/server). This is assuming that pcmcia-cs is included back into the install CD, but I believe that is just an oversite in 1.4rc1 and has a different bug assigned to it.
I had created a bug report with ebuilds attached for linux-wlan-ng... http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7843 I am getting ready to update it with the latest version of the driver package since it's up to 0.1.15 now. My original post was for 0.1.15_pre7.
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
